Hello! I am a 20 year old student, athlete, entrepreneur, and artist. This web site shares my sports experiences & artistic creations.

Hockey

I am a Freshman goalie at Utica College. Last year I played a "gap" year with Meijer U19 AAA, attended the Rolston Hockey Academy, and finished the season with a 93% save percentage and 10 shutouts. I played one year in the JWHL and 6 years with the San Jose Jr Sharks::

2017-18: 2nd at the Tier II U19 National Championships.
2016-17: 1st at the Tier II U19 National Championships, lead all tournament goalies in games played, shut-outs, and save percentage, played a total of 74 games.
2015: selected to the 2015 USA Hockey U15 National Camp where I lead in save percentage.

I train hard on and off the ice. I workout 3-4 times a week under the guidance of Rachel Llanes, former pro player and future Olympian, get frequent goalie coaching, and practice vision/reaction training with vizualedge.com

School & Sports

I am majoring in Business and creative design at Utica College. I attended Cupertino High (3.67) for three years and Connections Academy (4.00) online school for my senior year. I have taken four Advanced Placement classes, scoring 4 on the AP test for three subjects. While at Cupertino I played varsity field hockey 3 years, was named team MVP, and all league Goalie. As a Freshman, I wrestled, winning the light weight MVP and placing 6th in Central California. I was creative directory for Homecoming decorations. See the 15' great white shark on my projects page.

Art

I also love art!!! My career goal is to work as a creative designer in the entertainment industry for a company like Jim Henson's Creature Shop, DC Comics, DreamWorks... As this 2014 Maker blog post describes, I started making creature costumes at 12. I made the mascot costume for my middle school. I now run an internet based business (etsy.com/shop/GriffinsandDragonsCO) selling mascot costumes, stuffed animals, and custom commissions. I have shipped more than 120 orders to 11 countries. I won costume contests in San Francisco and Grand Rapids. See my blog and projects pages for more details.
